.pkg on a Mac/PC hybrid disc fails to open.

John Driedger

I have made a .dmg with an install .pkg and a folder sitting there all nice. It has a pretty background like the window you get with most Mac software installs. I also have a folder for the PC people to see.

I made the .toast for the Mac side and the .iso for the PC side. Used Copy and merged them and burned a disk. Looks okay until you double click on the .pkg and I get an "Open Failed" message.

This happened with CDs burned from two different systems. I have toast 8.0.1. I used a thing called Firestorm to make the original .dmg and even dropped it on "DropDMG" hoping it would clean it up, so to speak. But the thing is, the .dmg works perfectly well before Toast gets in the picture.

Any help would be appreciated,
