CD Drives Missing After Install

Diehl1955

Question

My CD/DVD drives were there before installing Creator 10 and immediately afterwards. When I reboot, they were gone. I got them back but Creator 10 does not recognize them. Every other program on my computer has no trouble detecting the drives or writting to them. How can I get Creator 10 to recognize the drives so I can use my new program? Please help

Are you running XP or vista?

I checked out the registry as suggested and there was nothing to do with upperfilters or lower filters in that key. I tried a few ideas of my own and they didn't work either. I have no idea what else to try. I just do not understand why everything else detects and writes to my drives with no problem. Just Creater 9 and 10 have the problem not knowing the drives are there. I have Nero and it works just fine. Any other suggestions how to get Roxio to find my drives?

Roxio sent me a file called pxengine1_08_34a.exe and it fixed my problem immediately. Creator now recognizes my drives at last. I am such a happy camper. Thank you so much Roxio Tech Support. I will guard that file with my life in case this ever happens again.

:D

I think that was I in a PM....
