Can anyone help? I have decided not to deal with this program anylonger, I am returning it first thing tomorrow Anyone have any other programs beside Roxio that will work good for movie making. I am thinking about Pennacle Studio plus 11, but I am getting bad reviews on that also, acutally I am getting bad reviews on just a about ALL programs. I am so scared to even try this again. Maybe I will just stay with my Windows Movie Maker, a little boring but at least no problems so far.

Sometimes you just have to knuckle down and work through the problems.

Maybe I will just stay with my Windows Movie Maker, a little boring but at least no problems so far. Hello, hope there's a way out after reading the above... I have bought a Vista 32 on an HP Media Centre four months ago. It came with this Roxio software and has no independent disk. It is part of the package with limited functions, and I have used it twice. I am the only user of this Vista Home Premium Operating System, - 320GB 3g SATA hd, NVIDIA GE FORCE 7500LE etc, with full Administration control. When I Open MY DVD 9, a window opens with the following message; The following codec(s) must be activated before using the application: MPEG-2 Click OK to activate or CANCEL to abort. On clicking ‘OK’, it returns an ‘Error’ message: ‘No Permission – Bad Installation’ If I have to reinstall, then I have to reinstall the whole system clean... but I’m not sure if this will fix the Roxio problem. I previously had an error on something about Wave 8, and after a clean re-installation, it is replaced with another Roxio problem. Can it be fixed or has it used its number of usages? Any help would be grateful Thanks Laurek ..........
james_hardin
You have a modified OEM program that should not be doing that. Contact your OEM provider, the one who made your PC and firmly request they fix it!
