Sonic Solutions burn engine not registered correctly?

When trying to burn a DVD via Windows Media Center, there is an error message:

 

"CD/DVD RECORDER REQUIRED. Ensure that you have a CD or DVD recorder installed, and select Create CD/DVD"

 

This support link explains what to do, but it didn't work:

It (burning from Media Center) worked before but no longer does.

If you have upgraded to IE7 (or let Windows auto-update do it for you), it might be that IE 7 is causing a problem, as it does with an awful lot of software.

 

The solution in that case is to roll back (there are instructions in the EMC 7/7.5 DVD Forum, pinned to the top), or consider newer software which says "Vista compatible" - IE 7 is backported from Vista, and makes changs deep inside the Operating System.
