patecca
I burn DVDs on my MAC using IDVD. When I have a lot to burn, I like to use my PC to assist in the burning process once one has been created. I used Easy CD & DVD Creator 6. When I put the disc in, I am told the DVD is copryight protected. The IDVD program does not copyright protect. How do I get my program to recognize it is not copyright protected. Thank you. james_hardin
A program can only Read a disc. It cannot makeup fibs as it goes… Contact IDVD and find out what is causing this.
patecca
I did contact IDVD and they said that the program does not copyright protect and it's probably the other software.

Like IDVD, Roxio has no way of adding copy protection when burning too. Yet on occasion, I have seen where someone is trying to copy a disc they created and hit this problem… I don't ever recall a specific solution. I have never seen this problem personally. I would suggest a different drive if possible, and checking to see if there is a firmware update for drives. Try some other discs you have made with IDVD. If they all indicate copy protection, there is defiantly something in the burn (software or burner) that is causing a false indication. If you do get it resolved, post back and let us know what worked.
