I have bought and installed creator 9. I've made a dvd movie and when i go to burn the cd it says product validation - no movies. I am not able to click on "go to error" - i have updated all my audio and video cards. i have purchased "imitation" cd-r and "maxell" dvd-r. i have done a test dvd with only three pictures and one audio and it still will not burn. what am i doing wrong?

I did go to videowave and insert three pictures and one audio - my preview looked great- clicked my DVD express burn - it said " Video Card is a RADEON FSC: the manufacturer is ATI TEchnologies. Your video card may be out of date. I HAVE PREVIOUSLY UPDATED THE VIDEO CARD THROUGH ATI. I CLICK OK AND THE FOLLOWING SCREEN COMES UP -

the sample menu (THE SCREEN WITH THE SAMPLE BACKGROUND WITH TREES AND PLAYING MUSIC) came up with the following options -

add new movie, new slideshow, new cinemagic, change meue style, change menu background, project settings - I click burn and then go play it on my DVD player - it is the sample menu with the sample music- no sight of my three pictures.

It should have come in. Try this instead. Save your production in VideoWave. Make a folder first, outside of Documents and Settings. Name it something like Roxio Productions, or whatever you want. Then, when you save as, give your production a name, and browse to the folder you made. Now, close VideoWave.

Open MyDVD, click on Add New Movie, browse to where you saved the VideoWave production, and bring in your production. The file extension of VideoWave saved files is .dmsm.

Let us know if this works.

2 things to look at:

Go back to the ATI site and see if there is something newer than the last one you got. Some of these video card makers seem to be on the version-of-the-week club…

Start - Run – dxdiag

Looking for DirectX Version 9.0c. but also cycle through the pages to make sure no problems were noted.

When you tried it in your set top DVD player, did you press the Play button on your remote control?

There are 35 different programs in the V9 Suite, which one are you using???

It almost sounds like you picked a wizard.

Try going through the Start – All Programs – Roxio – Video – MyDVD menu. Add a couple of things and click Burn.

You can set the Burn to do a Disc Image and turn off your burner so you don't waste media.

Of course you know that you can never put a DVD Movie onto a CD! I would also stick with Verbatim and let the Maxwell's fade away on projects that are not important.

I would suggest using the tutorials to learn some of the basics of the software. Then, use VideoWave to make your productions, not MyDVD as this is what I think you said that you are using.
