MYDVD and Photo Slideshow

Big_Dave

Question

Hi Guys,

I just returned from Greece and Turkey. It was a great trip.

I burned a DVD-R/W photo slideshow using EMC 9.1 MYDVD and I noticed that the first photo is missing and photos 131,134,137,160,163,166 and 169 are rendered black. :( I did the play back on both of my PCs and on my TV DVD player and all had the same results. There are a total of 185 photos ranging in size from 2mb to 2.9mb each. I am using an intro movie and it shows up just fine. You can see my PC configurations below.

Any thoughts on the issue(s)?

I am already using software rendering and my video drivers are up-to-date.

Burn to an ISO file first and then copy the ISO file to your DVD. This separates the encoding from the burning so your computer works on only one thing at a time. Encoding will take time but copying is pretty fast.

Jim,

It was successful using a new DVD+R/W media. :) Total burn time was about 30 minutes. <_< I don't know if that is good or bad but my internal video hardware is probably weak compared to today's current PC standards with separate video cards. Perhaps I'll replace my PCs next year.

Glad to hear that! nit picking point, it is RW media without the backslash – sorry to point that out…

Most of my DVD RW media is on its' 4th year now. Many have exceeded 100 write/erases and some of them are getting a little around the edges. I have 5 new DVD+RW's waiting for a chance to be used.

Of course we both know that RW media is never used to keep the only copy of anything we value!!! We only use R media for that!
