JStreet
I have version 6 and I installed a DVD burner now it will not recognize either my CD Burner which it use to or my new one. I did a uninstall and reinstall. Did my updates and only the Drag to Disc recognizes my buners? I have the latest updates on both burners so I am stumped as to why this will not work. JStreet
Try this: PxEngine It worked thank you so much. I was going to be very disappointed if I could no longer use my Roxio and will now definetely think of getting a new version because I have enjoyed my Version 6. james_hardin
It would appear that what you encountered was the common XP problem of 'opps I lost the drives again'… You will suffer from "version shock"! No program worked like V6, it was one of a kind… In all subsequent versions, you do your editing in VideoWave. MyDVD is used to only to build the menu interface for the burned DVD. It is far, far better this way but it is a brick wall unless you are expecting it.
Kim Jensen
I have the same problem Windows see the DVD but Roxio says no recorder. I tried Pxengine, but when I try to run I get: Unable to write to the current directory. I tried to move to other directories, but same message. I have XP Media Center and there is only one user account, with administrator permission. Thanks for any help. Kim

Pibenny
It worked thank you so much. I was going to be very disappointed if I could no longer use my Roxio and will now definetely think of getting a new version because I have enjoyed my Version 6. Had the same problem in that my Sony Optiarc AD-7170 did not register as my default recorder. I tried the fixes listed by Roxio but no go there too. The PxEngine did the trick in a flash! Thanks a bunch!
