"Please wait while setup loads" this goes on for hours and I see no evidence of progress. Uninstall instructions have been followed twice and I see no evidence of Roxio on my system. Run the install.exe file from the hard drive. If you can't copy the files to your hard drive, either the disc is bad, or your burner is bad. Good call but I'd steer clear of a unbalanced disk. Had one "blow" in my drive once. It stopped working immediately. Completely fragged. If he bought it retail then I'd take it back and ask for an exchange. Depends on whether the "chatter" is from a unbalanced disc or just the sound of the stepper motors seeking the 'grove'… Might be a good idea to examine the disc for flaws and to try it in another drive.
