I'm trying to copy video from my camcorder. I don't know what my vido card is.

If you are trying to capture from a digital camcorder that uses tape, then you should be connecting your camcorder to your PC via a IEEE1394 connection (also called a Firewire connection).

Another possibility, you could use Windows Movie Maker to capture via the Belkin device or use the software that came with that device. EMC 10 does not capture video very well if at all via USB.

I am having a simliair problem. I have a JVC Mini DV digital camcorder. when I try to import video, I get the runtime error. When I use Muvee or Windows Moviemaker, it works OK. I am using a firewire connection and am running xp. I guess I can use moviemaker to import it, it just seems that this program should be able to do it internally. I am able to import from other sources such as my web cam or still pics of of cards. Any other thoughts.
