Upgrade Question

Currently I am running EZ CD Creator 5 Platinum. The track splitter is worthless and the pop and click removal tool is certainly not ideal either. I only use this Roxio program for converting vinyl (records) to digital, so I do not need any of the components of the newer releases which do not specifically relate to audio.

 

My question: Have the track splitter and pop and click removal tools been significantly improved in the newer releases of Roxio products?

The cleaning options available in Sound Editor in EMC 8 are significantly better than what comes with ECDC 5. I'm not sure they're as robust as, say, DART XP Pro, and as with all noise reduction applications, use with care, but they work fairly well.

 

As for the track splitter, I never used it in ECDC 5, I don't use it in EMC 8 since I do my capture using CDWAVE and then manually set my split points. It's just too easy to do it manually using CDWAVE, and I can also name the splits as I'm doing it. So, I honestly don't know how well it works.
