I edited a file in a Wave program before burning it. The file sounds clean when I listen to it before putting

it in the Roxio program but when it 's in the program there is chatter in the form of clicks (squeaks) when I preview it and when i burn it. ? Can anyone help me with this?

Hello warderboy,

What version and which Roxio program are you using to burn this WAV file?

This is an mp3 file converted from a wave file. I'm using ECD 5 platinum. I edited it in Mp3 form with Wavepad

Well, the problem is most likely in the encoding (converting from .WAV to .MP3) in ECDC 5. I was never happy with the encoder used there. If you've got it in .WAV format, and you're going to CD, skip the conversion to .MP3, which will only degrade the original .WAV file, and, in the case you're seeing, can lead to extra artifacts being introduced. For going to .MP3, the free LAME encoder is considered one of the best.

Hope that helps!
