I'm using the Media Import tool to copy a DVD (home made - not a commercial one - VOD files, etc.). I can play the DVD fine from the Media Import tool. When I start an upload to a harddrive location, everything looks like it is working fine - the yellow bar moves across the screen and goes to 100%. But then nothing happens. The upload never completes. There are no details when I click the +.
A file gets created of the first part of the video, but stops at about a 450MB file using MPEG uplaod and creates no file with the WMV upload (menu disappears altogether on this upload)
I used this function with 7.5 many times and it always worked perfectly
Using a SONY DVD RW, HP Pavilion, 150 GB free, 512 MB memory. I updated to 8.05.
Any ideas?
One more thought - I'm running this again - this time I opened the DETAILS on the progress information at the start, rather than at 100%. I can see the video progressing and it seems that the yellow bar is moving slower than the first time. Could be that the yellow bar was not measuring the progress properly with the detail collapsed.
