Question

i recently downloaded an update for my Photsuite 7 and every time i try to install it i get this error message:

The installation source for this product is not available. Verify the source exists and that you can access it.

I have tried to uninstall the program but i get the same message. the program works ok but the update sounds like it has some good things in it and i would like to update. does anyone have any suggestions?

I have windows xp pro on a Dell Dimension

The site works fine for me. It takes you to a page with Roxanne on it, on the right hand side it says Download Software Updates, click on it.

When I try to download the update for Photosuite 7, I get a page not found when I click on download. Does anyone have the download file anywhere?

Launch PhotoSuite 7 and go to HELP --> ABOUT

What version of PhotoSuite do you have installed?

No, I did a test download of different software (from Roxio) just to see what happened, and it started the download, but then predictably gave an error saying I didn't have the software when it ran.

What software and version are you trying to update?

You'll get that message if you have the latest version OR if you're trying to update a OEM version.

Well the reason the update doesn't work is because you already have an updated version. When we release an update, most times we will slipstream that update in to newer packaging/downloads.

http://www.roxio.com/en/support/photosuite...updatesv7.jhtml

Update PhotoSuite 7 Platinum to 7.0.430.0 (English Only).

Notice the update will update users to 7.0.430.0 .... the version you already have

I am trying to update Photosuite 7 (stand alone version), but there is nowhere on the Roxio site that has the update (which works), the link you gave above doesn’t exist anymore, it keeps taken me back to that ridicules Roxann nonsense, which is totally useless - and update link for the download which Roxio gives never works. Is there any other way that the update can be obtained??? If anyone has the update maybe they can set up a link so I can download if from their website??? Like other people in these forums I never get any replies from Roxio support so it's no good asking them! Thank you. :)

then why did my program tell me i needed to download the update? The only way i finally got the update to work and was able to reinstall the product was by using a windows install clean up utility and removing the windows installer for this program. Now the program continues to tell me i have downloaded an update for Roxio and when the update finishes and i restart my computer it just keeps coming up and does not go away. I am just not going to do any more updates because everything seems to be working just fine. Any suggestions?

The version is Photsuite 7 Platinum (Build 7.03.430.0ENU) I have the original CD and have registered it. It will not reinstall from the original CD, repair or let me uninstall so i can try to fix it. It works ok so i guess i just won't worry about the updates unless you have a solution for me.

Do you have a popup-blocker blocking the popup?
