Disc Copier - Audio Out Of Sync

natediggy43@yahoo.com

Question

I recently got my old Hi8 footage transferred to DVD. I am now trying to copy the DVD's data onto my harddrive to edit some of it. I have succesfully used the Disc Copier program to convert the DVD to DivX/AVI. Unfortuneately, the audio is out of sync w/ the pictures. The sync problem gets worse the farther into the video file I get. I estimate that 3/4 of the way into the video file that the audio is 30 seconds behind the video. I have tried stopping all programs except the disc copier and have also decreased my hardware acceleration as suggested by Roxio to remedy the problem, but this has not improved the sync problem at all. Is there another way I can use EMC 8 to get the DVD transferred onto my hard drive or another way i can solve the audio issue?

Thanx,

Nathaniel
