pgrimley65
I've searched but can't seem to find an answer to: Is there a way to rename the chapters after I have created them ? It seems that all I get is the Elapsed Time, or a default name. Would like to be able to split up a movie into "scenes" and rename them according to content. Thanks in advance
Merv
After a while, this link just leads you to an offer to UPGRADE, not update. Typical of crappy Roxio support. No it does not. There is an advertisement on the page to upgrade, but there is also a link (the word Download in blue) to download the patch. Clicking the Download will take you to a login page. After entering the information, you can then download the patch. Pretty simple if you have registered the product.

Thanks in advance If you are using Version 7.1 or greater, import your video into DVDBuilder. Highlight the thumbnail on the menu screen and select the Mark Chapters icon in the Production Editor window. Follow the instructions to mark the chapters you want. Each chapter will appear on the right side of the Mark Chapters window and each chapter will receive a default name of Chap 1, Chap 2, etc. Point to and double click on the Chap 1 text box and type in the new name. Note, you may have to double click several times. It is a little touchy. Renaming chapters is not an available option in version 7.0. If that is the version you have, you will have to update by applying the patch at the following link: http://www.roxio.com/en/support/emc/software_updatesv7.jhtml Hope this helps

But the download fails unless you have purchased boxed product. I downloaded mine, and so it would not work. There is no indication of this on the update web page, nor any way to find an comparable patch. I admit I was stupid to buy via download, and probably stupid to buy it at all. It only mentions the .430 update??? My notes indicate you need to go to the Roxio Store (here) to download the 7.1.1.189 ESD. I never had the download version so I have not been able to try it.
