Does Videowave 8 Use A Code ?

slider44

Question

:) I made a short slide show in VideoWave 8 and tested it on different XP machines in my home and it played with no problem, but when I gave it to a friend to view he told me that he was getting " Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or a required codec might not be installed on your computer." My question is: does this program use a special codec ? Thanks

Oh he did install Media Player 10 but no joy....

First of all, what do you mean you gave it to your friend? Did you give him a file or a burned DVD? It sounds like HE has a problem with his computer.

I made a slide show ( VideoWave 8 ) and included it in a multie media CD ( Autoplay 6 ) All the user has to do is click on an icon and the movie starts up in a small XP Media Player window. Other people I gave it to haven't had the problem just this one fellow.

There is no doubt that your friend has some issues with his computer. Do you have a DVD burner? If so, go through MyDVD and burn your slide show to a DVD, and give that to him. See if that will work for him.
