Change Picture duration

Hi, using EMC 10 in Videowave, I want to change the duration that each picture is displayed for. Is it possible to change the duration for all the pictures at once or do I need to select and make the change for each individual picture, one at a time. I can do it for transition time by clicking on a transition and modifying the time and applying to all transitions, but how to make the same type of change for all pictures. Is it possible?

Frank, the OP was talking about the photos themselves, not the transitions.

 

I hope I wasn't reading into the OP's post something wrong Bruce. There was some talk about how he handles transitions also, though.

If you are already partially done with the project and now want to change all the images to the same duration, just select the first image and right click. Do this in storyline mode. You should get a dotted frame around the image to let you know that one is selected.

 

Select "trim" from the options and set the duration and put a check mark in the box to apply that display time to all images.

Really curious as to how things work out when you change the transition duration as you suggested above. What transitions are you using for all your photos ?? Try changing the transitions to 3D or Random or "pot luck". Then go change the duration to make it a different time and then click on the box to change all of the transition durations to that same time. Now check out all your transitions. My guess is that ALL of the transitions changed to that time but ALL of the tramsitions are now all the same kind as well.

 

This is a bug in the EMC 10 program in Videowave and after suggesting this to Roxio many times it still hasn't been corrected If your EMC 10 changes the durations using the change all box and still leaves all the transitions as they were, I would sure like to know how you do it !!!!

I think Frank is aware of that (see red highlight in his post). Frank is just pointing out a known bug when trying to change the duration of ALL transitions. It also changes the transitions.

Not certain ... but the picture display times needs to be at least double the transition time.

Open a new production in Videowave, select File->Production Settings and specify the default duration that will apply to still images.
