imola-ghost
I'm wanting to start ripping my DVD's to store on my hard drive so I can access/play them over a Xbox 360 networked to Media Center PC. I want them to be the best quality I can get. Hard drive space is so cheap I'm not worried about that.

imola-ghost
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there some kind of "copy protection" on DVD's that won't allow me to properly "copy & paste" the files off of the DVD and play correctly? Larry
Most commercially made DVD's do have copy protection on them, so no you can't do as suggested. You can for any non-copy protected ones you have. For copy protected discs, you'll have to look elswhere for answers, as none of the Roxio/Sonic products will help you copy them, as that is illegal in most countries, and is not a subject allowed to be discussed on these boards.
