You seem to have Roxio Creator DE. A lite OEM version of the Roxio software which is bundled with computers or optical drives.

If it's copyright 2006 it seems to be an old version at that. Is there anything about your software which might give you a version number? Perhaps Data > Copy Disc > Help rather than the Home > Help.

If we can get a version number we can perhaps point you to the forum for that version of the Roxio software.

Regards,

Brendon

Thank you so far Brendon.

Anyway the problem I have is not so much related to the Version I think.

I have all the files for a Win XP SP2 setup CD which I want to burn to a bootable CD.

I have read the documentation about making a bootable CD.

As far as I understand I need another bootable CD, say for example Win XP SP1?

Is that correct? I normally used Nero, where this was not necessary.

Thanks in advance Wilfried

If you want to make a bootable CD for XP, I would suggest you use nLite instead - this will also let you slipstream SP2 into the installation CD (and also let you set it up with user name, CD key and any other patches)

It produces a .iso image file which Roxio can use to write to the blank disc

  • 8 months later...

I have the Creator DE 10.1 on my new computer from dell and cannot find any update info but I found a "Patch" on Roxio by typing in with quotation marks "Creator DE" it seems there is no support for the bindled 'grams, but you have to register it, and look through site and get info from tech. to find there is nothing. I found patch on my own.:blink:
