aron
I have just installed EMC 10 and I am trying to burn some DVDs using Video Copy and convert. Each time I have tried, the burn gets as far as 9 or 11% and then there is an error and it stops. Can anyone help me?
aron
I still can't get EMC 10 to burn DVDs. It freezes although I have got it to burn music discs.
gi7omy
Try updating your graphics drivers (use the ones from the nVidia or ATI website) and let is know if that helps

I did that. Still no joy.
gi7omy
OK - did you also updfate DirtectX? That stopped being on the MS auto-update lists a long time back and needs to be manually downloaded and installed now. Did you update the graphics from the ATI or nVidia sites or from elsewhere? (there is a difference)
aron
[i have an ATI video card so I used their website. Am just installing Direct X now. No the same thing has happened again despite directx.
gi7omy
Can you list your system specs (similar to my sig) Also - try this. Instead of burning directly to the DVD using copy and convert, try staging it to the hard drive first as an image file. Sometimnes that works better than douing the render and burn in one go

BLPen163
When I click Burn to Disc I get this message......I have used both of my DVD/CD drives to watch movies in the past? Disc Drive is incompatible with media I did save the project to file....Is there a way to just save a movie in a file and have it as a DVD not a project? You should really start a new thread stating your problem instead ofsomeone else thread since you have a different problem. Do you have a DVD burner? Just because you can watch DVDs on your drive does not mean it can burn DVDs. Please list the make/model of your device. A project file is not a video, it is simply a file containing the instructions on how to create a video DVD as well as the source files in your project. I don't quite understand what you mean by "Is there a way to just save a movie in a file and have it as a DVD not a project?"

bimicher
If you created your project in myDVD there is only one way to create the DVD movie on your hard drive and that is to burn it to an image (iso) file. You then launch DiscImage Loader and create a virtual drive (simulates a DVD drive) and load the iso file. The movie on the virtual drive can then be played just like a real DVD using a software DVD player like CinePlayer of WMP. If you initially assembled your project in Videowave (which is really what should be used to create videos) you could have output your production to a mpeg2 (DVD quality) file and you could play that easily on your PC.
