DVD capacity

the_killer

Question

Hi , this may be a dumb question , but it really puzzles me : every time I burn a data DVD, roxio shows that the DVD's capacity is only 4.4 gb or even less. The problem is that I use "Princo DVD-R 4.7 gb sp 120 min 1-8x speed" witch i presume has to have 4.7 gb of burning capacity , and still roxio shows only 4.4  Could you help me solve this problem please? I'd be very grateful to everyone that helps.

There is no problem… It is the same difference in "Marketing Math" vs "Computer Math"

That is why your 200GB HD only shows a capacity of 186GB.

Please read the Blank Media Guide below, Princo is rated 3rd class media. I use (Mitsubishi Kagaku Media Co., Ltd. makers of Verbatim) and (Taiyo Yuden).

Blank Media Quality Guide.
