jad
Hi please help I have a Dell with the OEM Esy Media Creator 9 loaded, I try and convert a film from my Handy cam and it shows no ac3 support, not a problem what I want to know is if I buy the upgrade does the product come with the Ac3 support. When you get the message it says go to the home page to get the upgrade. All I want to know for 100% sure is do I get the ac3 support buying the upgrade. Don't want to waste £45 if it don't work. Larry
Both the EMC 9 Suite and EMC 9 Deluxe support ac3.
Brendon
Jad, it might be worth installing an AC3 filter yourself first, and see if that doesn't give you AC3 support in the software you're already using. Just do a Google or Yahoo search for 'AC3 codec' and you'll find a number of sites where you can download the filter. If it works, you have saved. If it doesn't, then you haven't lost anything. ggrussell
http://www.ac3filter.net/ Open source filter that seems to be fairly well supported and works with a lot of applications, but I doubt if the OEM versions of EMC 9 do.
