Toast 8

I purchased a iMac a year ago and am just getting used to it. I want to be able to use my cd or dvd like a hard drive or floppy drive, as I will be using Microsoft Office and would like to be able same my work directly to them the same I was able to do in Windows with Roxio. Which part of Toast 8 will me do that? Iam using Leopard. Thanks

The Mac OS doesn't work that way so Toast doesn't let you use optical media like small disc drives. I suggest getting a USB flash drive for this purpose. When it gets full back it up to disc, erase it and start again. Or you can create a DVD-sized temporary partition (Toast Utilities menu) and keep adding and deleting files from it. When you're ready you can copy it to disc using the Image File setting in the Copy window
