recompression error

Roger 123

Question

I'm trying to copy some home video discs which were burned on my home DVD recorder.

I'm using Toast 8.03.

It starts copying and then gives me a message that there has been a recompression error.

I had been able to burn several DVDs but now this happens every time. I've run Mac Janitor and Disk Utility with no luck.

Any ideas?

I'm confused about the recompression error message. What does it say exactly? There shouldn't be any recompression copying an existing video DVD. Are you making finalized video-mode DVDs with your standalone recorder? Are you using the Toast Copy window?
