Slow Dynamic Writing

Sirius

Question

I'm making a lot of backup of video files on an external LG BR drive.

Working with BD-R disks is all fine. 2x burning means 24 minutes for 15 GB of video files.

But trying to work with BD-RE disks in Dynamic Writing mode, the backup is very much slow: about two hours for the same 15 GB of files. Why in DW is so slower?

Hope someone can help me...

MacPro Dual Xeon 3GHZ 4GB RAM.

Sorry for my bad written english...

Dynamic Writing does a write and verify of the data to increase the data integrity. When burning in Toast, the disc is burned at 2x, then the verify is done and can be canceled.

DW is like burning in Toast with the verify on. However, in the Finder, the verify can't be turned off (and shouldn't be to make sure the data is OK.
