I do not understand what wrong ! please! <<

Hello, I used Easy CD/DVD Creator Plum 6.0

Creator_v6.2.0.111

Engine_v6.2.0.134

But My DVD Writer is Plextor PX-716A

http://www.plextor.com/english/support/dow...firm_716old.htm

Now from firmware "1.03" upgrade to "1.10" but ECD 6.0 said not found this device.?

I try firmware downgrade to "1.05" is OKE , no problem, but after "1.06>" is error.

What wrong ? Please!

And because I have "TYG03" media code DVD -R disc,

I need burm 2MB file , that filename is "Sam2007.pdf", I selected used "ISO9660" mode.

But always said buffer under error... ?

What problem again. ?

And Because my computer is PII 233MHz, 128Ram, Windows XP SP2 Pro.

I used that media code is "TYG02" DVD (-R) Disc to burn 3.5GB file, Plextor Firmware is (v1.03) , around 6000files and 1000folder

is oke, no problem / no error used my very old computer.

So why only burm 2MB file used "TYG03" media code...

All error?

Please!

"upgrade to "1.10" but ECD 6.0 said not found this device.?" That I will have to check on for you, I'll be back with that be patient.

You don't have enough computer to burn 16x ( But always said buffer under error) ! What speeds are you trying to burn with the 16x "TYG03"media at? What speed does your PC burn the "TYG02" media?

Real Taiyo Yuden have a serail # on the inside ring around the spindle hole. Should say GH000076 The six #'s after the GH could/ will be different on your disc. TY 4x -R serials start with GD, 8x with GG, and 16x with GH. If the #'s is not on the disc they are not Real Taiyo Yuden, they can fake the TYG03 media code.

Your PC is fine for data ("Pentium 200 MHz or faster") but as cd says, it is doubtful is could ever keep up with the relentless data of a DVD at 16X!

It will find its' own speed. But if you open Classic and run the System Tests under Tools it will pre-set to the correct speed.

The Pxengine patch may be in order: Here

That Plextor Web site:

http://www.plextor.com/english/support/dow...ds/firm_716.htm

Now version is "1.11" , but try it, is error no deleted this device.

(A) CORRECT: "upgrade to "1.10" but ECD 6.0 said not found this device.?"

( B ) YES, I KNOWN: You don't have enough computer to burn 16x

but I only need burn 1x , 2x is enough. more 4x> is not possible in my old computer , right!?

( C ) wht need "TYG03" media ? because All empty- (-R) -disc a lot of support 16x,

if found only max support 4x , 8x is very hard to found, and that cost is very high...

(D) because I have only DATA to burn , so I need very stable DVD to burn it.

"Taiyo Yuden" is my love, but now. all max 16x is I can't control it...

(E) I will check again, is GD/GG or GH... else this is fake, but that fake-disc is stable ?

(F) Any suggest, if PII 233MHz , 128Ram , only 0.5GB free, if used 1X,2X disc to burn , why 100% correct safe and no problem ? because I burn DVD , all windows-add-on-service, is all kill that process.. So I only do this step.

(G) that burn-option; selected "Option X Speed" is ok ? because I only selected "very very low X" to burn. (example: 1X,2X,4X)

but I can't see "1X" option (ECD 6.0)?

now normal to selected "2X or 4X" to burn, when that burn -proceessing, that REAL (X) speed around 1X-2X,

but I confirm no selected "1X" ? why crazy ?

is (ECD 6.0) problem , or that disc-media-code problem ?

I love (-R) disc , because I think (-R) disc is more stable to older only READ only DVD device

(H) If that firmware upgrade and downgrade to try it more times . This device is also good ?

(I)

ECD 6.0 is CLOSED product? Last version is Creator_v6.2.0.111/Engine_v6.2.0.134. CLOSED ?

if upgrade to ECD 7.0/8.0/9.0/10.0 is possible to run it ?

but that computer also PII 233MHZ, 128RAM, 0.5GB Free to BURN 4.0GB DVD (-R)

I'm sorry (A-I) problem , Thanks a lot....

"fake-disc" is NOT Taiyo Yuden. That is why the question to check for the code to see if it is genuine Taiyo Yuden or something cheap made to look as if it is Taiyo Yuden.

Altho PII 233MHz, 128MB RAM may be enough to burn a CD-R, it may not be enough for DVD burning, even data. I suspect you may need about twice the power and RAM.

CD burning speed at 1x is 0.15MB/s, whereas DVD burning at 1x is 1.3MB/s, or around 9 times as fast.

The number would be pressed into or printed onto the disc around the hole in the center, but sometimes very hard to read.

Or, you can download a free program like DVDInfoPro (www.dvdinfopro.com) to check - altho you only get to use it 30 days before they want you to buy it ir it ceases to work.

Or the Excellent Free Nero CD-DVD Speed program. Current Version, 4.7.7.5 Windows NeroCDSpeed_4775.zip 799 KB.

CDSpeed and DVDInfo Pro could both show a TYG03 media ID (MID) and be fake. The #'s around the hub I have never heard of them faking..

If I understand correctly, OP wants to do a backup data to DVD with his PII 233GHz 128MB RAM computer.

So using WinXP's built-in CD burning ability is a different topic.

Altho doing a backup to CD might be the answer - I'm not sure the computer has the power needed to burn a DVD.

The computer has WAY sufficient power to burn a DVD, Lyn. You need to actually try some of these things before you write about them.

Using XP to write to a CD might well be the answer, though. If you read his post, all Ricx wants to do it backup a 2 megabyte PDF file, so a 4,700 MB DVD is a bit of overkill. His message sort of got lost in all the drift and clustering.

Yes and I want to confirm it can actually write without the buffer under run or other errors.

Of course we cannot test the DVD side of things since XP will not burn a DVD…

thanks. because now I can not found any max:8x DVD (-R) disc.

only (-R) DVD, only max:16x.

So This is main point , I can not success burn.?

and that 2MB (ISO9660) is testing data. I try (0.5MB) file to via ECD 6.0 to burn it. Is also error...

Because last blank disc (-R) DVD max:4x, 8x that blank DISC. is all suceess to burn over 3GB files...

I was success around burn qty:200 (-R) disc few years...

but that time is very long, around 30mins to 60mins , but I can success...I'm so lucky...

Why that max:16x blank disc is all error ? is ECD 6.0 problem ? or MUST upgrade to P4 computer ?

Hope you understand...? And if changed to ECD 7.0 , all problem is erase ?

Are you see: ?

this is version number, any suggest that (orange, red, green - line)?

Very difficult to understand, curious what is your native language?

We are trying to determine if your drive is working. You indicate it was at one time – 200 DVD's burned.

The burn rate of the media 4X, 8X, 16X has nothing to do with burning. ALL burns start with a test burn on the media to determine what the max speed it can burn at right now, today. It will not exceed the rated rate, but you cannot tell it to burn faster than what it determines.

You need to insert a GOOD Quality DVD disc and run the tests under Tools in Creator Classic.

Probably need to defrag your HD too…

I burned many DVD's on my PII 550mhz PC so if anyone tries to tell you your PC is too slow, ignore them!

Granted, CDs aren't DVDs, but with the AMD K-6 2 (PII class) 400MHz computer it took about 40 minutes to burn a CD; with the 2.4GHz Celeron (sort of PIII Light) it takes about 4-5 minutes to burn a CD. This is for a music CD; for a Data CD it depends a lot on how much housekeeping stuff like making files is involved.

And I think 233MHz is slower than 550MHz.

And you've said it took 8 hours to render a 1-hour DVD Video on your PII 550 MHz.

I wouldn't consider trying to put a DVD burner in the AMD K-6 2 computer.

Do you have a point or do you just want to continue to distract from the OP's problem?
