Any problems using Pinnacle MovieBoard capture device or software?

Question

I like the PCI device that attaches an input/output dongle on a long cord, but I am concerned about clashes from installing the Pinnacle Studio Plus 10.5 Titanium Edition software on the same computer with EMC10 suite. I'm fairly certain someone out there has tried this by now. Any problems? Things to avoid?

The P3 may give you problems, regardless. Is EMC 10 working OK for you now?

I have not used that version of the software but I have had other Studio versions on my computer with various versions of EMC. Does the Titanium version of Studio have a built in packet writing application? If so, don't install it or uninstall Drag to Disc.

Unless you want the green screen and microphone, that a lot for a dongle device. I have a Pinnacle A/D converter card on my computer (others also make capture cards). The Deluxe version of EMC 10 comes with a Pinnacle DVC 100 USB capture device. There are others sold by Pinnacle; ADS also makes capture devices but I understand only the more expensive ones are satisfactory. My guess is that you are paying $40 for the program and the $80 for the break out box. Check out the Dazzle device on that site. They also have a similar break out box with Studio 9 for less.

You're computer is ancient and is not going to work with newer video editing software. You may be able to burn a data or music CD, but that's about all.
