Cannot burn to DVD

I am using DVDit pro 6. I imported my sequence from Avid. I have it all set up and ready to go but when I try to burn, an error message (file size 5.4GB disc size 4.7GB please reduce file size and try again) comes up.

 

The sequence is 1:12 long. I would expect this to fit on a 120min disc. Is there any way I can compress the file to a smaller size to fit on the disc without having to chap up the sequence that is already short to put 2 separate discs?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your response. I was able to fit it all on one disc. I used the first suggestion (reducing the bit rate) and it worked. The footage does look good on play back. Thanks again for your assistance.

a few things you can try.

 

1) in the "project settings" you can reduce the bit rate a bit to take it down to <4.7 gigs

2) you can try to burn an image or volume to see if the bit rate estimator is off...if it is you can then burn that image or volume to disc
