80004005 error in building slideshow

I bought and installed the Easy CD and DVD burning software. I have an 2ghz system with a Prophet 3d Kyro display adaptor and am running XP.

 

When I try to make a slideshow, Preview doesn't work, "unspecified error". If I go on and try to burn a DVD, I get the 80004005 error in building the slideshow.

 

I went through the online help. It points to display adapter problems. I updated the Kyro drivers for the Prophet card. I installed the latest Directx 9 version. I ran the directx compatability tests and they all passed.

 

I submitted a question to support, haven't heard anything yet.

 

Does anyone have any ideas? I'd appreciate any help.

I'm not sure which of the Hercules cards you have, but I doubt if even the 64 MB one would be able to handle the graphics required for rendering video

 

You may need to think of a replacement AGP card - one of the mid-range ASTI or nVidia ones should do the job
