Having a problem with plug and burn

I am trying to use plug and burn to burm a DVD directly from my camcorder. The problem is that I am getting one long video and no chapters. I did check the option to create chapters at tape breaks but this is not happening. Problem is that it is very difficult to use a one hour long movie without chpaters on a DVD player. Any suggestions??? Thanks in advance.

If you don't have any tape breaks then Plug & Burn can't create any chapters.

 

Anyway you would be much better off capturing from your tape to your hard drive in avi format especially if you want to do some editing. If you add the captured video into myDVD you can easily create chapter marks there.

That's the problem. There were lots of tape breaks but the program did no create the chapters even though I chose that option. I tried to use plug and burn to save the time and have the program create the disk for me. That is the express purpose of that program. I can do this the way that you suggest but it is a lot more time consuming.

 

If you have any ideas about why the plug and burn is not functioning as adverstised, please let me know.

So very few people use Plug & Burn that none of us know much about it… What you expect/hope to get out of it would not be the same thing that another user would want from it. Can't say what the 'intent' was regarding chapters but obviously it was not what you think it would be…

 

Capture and creating them is so easy in MyDVD is why none of bother with P&B.
