Reciently purchased Easy CD & DVD (in red box) and havn't been able to get the capture video function working. The program hangs up and dosn't turn on my ADS 190 USB capture unit. OS is XP Home SP2 , Athalon 1.4 G processer with 1024 memory, Light on DVD burner, Nortons anti Virus, Ad Watch spy and cookie blocker. I have another program (Ulead) which works the capture unit , which was installed after the Roxio was hanging. Have tried turning off the Ad ware and Norton's but program still hangs. (ie non responsive) Also this program would not install in safe mode.

You have to use the special software that came with the ADS in order for it to work…

 

I suggest you try the Clean Install procedure listed, here. Follow the instructions to the letter!

 

I noticed you have a 1.4Ghz processor whereas the program does call for a 1.5Ghz minimum for DVD work… Should work but it is going to take hours for rendering.

I notice that according to Wikipedia, the maximum speed for a PIII is 1.4GHz ... wonder if they are trying to say in code, "must be P4 or higher" ...? The lowest P4 speeds are 1.3GHz, but there is a lot more power (and heat).
