create dvd using VIDEO_TS files.

Question

Hi,

I have VIDEO_TS (movie) with 67 objects around 7.8GBs.

I want to create a dvd and compress it to one disk.

I always used to burn dvds using Disc Copier after using VideoWave+ myDVD and usually the size of the file would be 8GB+ ... I tried to do the same thing using Disc Copier but I recieve an error, saying:

"Content Quality: Compression Not Possible" and even if I insert a blank dvd cd the COPY NOW button is disabled.

Please advice what I am doing something wrong..

Thank you.

What exactly do you mean by "...I tried to do the same thing using Disc Copier..."? You already mentioned Disc Copier in the first part.

What kind of source DVD are you burning? Is it a commercial DVD?

Disc Copier is no longer available in EMC 10. It is now called Video Copy & Convert with some of the Disc Copier features removed. You should still be able to compress the 7.8GB to a single disc though.

If the video_ts folder is ready to burn with menus, etc., just use the DVD Video Copy TAB. I usually insert the blank disc first and let the program recognize the available disc space. Then select the video_ts folder as the source. Set write speed if other than maximum and click Copy Now.
