i bought a dell 2400 and sonic was on it . it worked fine till an update came i tried to install it and it keeps giving me c++ runtime error how can i fix this !
Since you didn't provide any details on what the update is you installed, or the details of the c++ error, we can only guess as to the cause.

This sounds like you may have updated WMP to v11 and/or IE to v7. Those are the most common causes of problems with the Sonic Digital Media v7 that get posted. So see if this article helps:

A bit pointless given the time lag and the fact Walt has quoted it.

Still, c=c+1

Granted, the OP isn't likely to ever be back to see if he got any answers, but the idea is to warn others it isn't a good idea. (And I PMd Walt.)

And it gives you a chance to pad your post count with unnecessary posts, Brendan.

Without trying to pick out which previous threads regarding that error might help you the most, why don't you enter that error (c++ runtime error) in the "search" listing at the very top (middle) of the page. There will be lots of posts on that subject matter.

You will have to give a bit more information if you want help.

Also since the software you received with your Dell, its propably a OEM version which means it does not have all the features of the full version. That what the LE usually means Limited Edition. Updates usually cannot be applied to a OEM versions.
