You're doing a picture-in-picture (PIP)?

At what stage do you see "... the lil overlay clip has no Motion, its more like a picture when it is not suppose to be..."? Are you looking at the icon of the overlay clip on the Overlay track? You have to press the Play button (the green col0red arrow) in the Preview pane to see the motion of the video clip.

Please provide detailed steps of what you are doing.

ok easy, I am making a video. In the End of the video, I placed a small clip as an overlay with transparency effect. everything seems ok while in the process of making the video, the overlay clip plays, at the exact position etc, but when I saved it onto my hard drive, I tried to play it and in the end of the video, the overlay clip i added with the transparency effect appears with no motion, more like a picture. it only fails once I saved it onto my hard drive.

How long is the video clip overlay and how close to the end did you place it ? The overlay is just that, it has to overly a video track. You are probably getting only one image because it is at the end of the main video.

Try shifting the overlay closer to the beginning of he main track so that it ends with the main track or add a color panel on the main track the same length as the overlay.

Come back and let us know if this solves your issue.

How do you add the Color panel, I am still new to this program so :(

In Storyline, select the firt blank panel and right click. Insert Color Panel is one of the options.

or

in Timeline, right click on a blank area of the Video track and right click. Again, Insert Color Panel is one of the options.

I cant get this to work, has anyone ever done what I'm trying to do ?

I think many of us have done what you are trying to do:

You have a video clip on the main track (how long is this video?)

You add another clip to the overlay track near the end of the main video

- how long is the overlay video?

-at what time point on the timeline do you add the overlay video?

-what is the transparency setting for the overlay?

I added a picture of what I think you are trying to do? Is this correct?
