I just installed EMC 10 for the first time today on my computer. It previously ran EMC 9, with only minor glitches. I purchased EMC 10 because of the Vista "support". However, many of the modules aren't working at all:
BackOnTrack, CinePlayer, Creator Classic and Label Creator all start up okay.
This popup happens at random: "RoxMediaDB10 Module stopped working and was closed."
MediaManager10.exe: "This application has failed to start because LayoutDll10.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." (it didn't.)
Music Disc Creator: Goes immediately to "Roxio Music Disc Creator has stopped working."
MyDVD: "This application has failed to start because roxipp52.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." (it didn't.)
Photo Suite 10: "This application has failed to start because LayoutDll10.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." (it didn't.) Then a window pops up calling itself PhotoSuite "9"... "has stopped working and was closed."
Sound Editor 10: Goes immediately to "Roxio Sound Editor has stopped working."
VideoConvert10.exe: "This application has filed to start because dccctrl10.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem." (nope).
VideoWave: "This application has failed to start because roxipp52.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." (it didn't.)
In addition, although the EMC10 main menu program starts, it cannot seem to start anything else.
And in addition to all of that, the startup services crash shortly after startup, with messages similar to the ones above.
My computer is a Dell Latitude D810, 2GB Ram, Intel Pentium-M 2.26GHz, Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit, all updates applied.
I'm running an ATI Mobility Radeon X600 which fees a WUXGA (1920x1200) display. My drive is the modular DVD+-RW drive. I have a 160GB 5400 PATA hard drive internally.
I'll skip the obvious comments about the massive number of failures here - can anyone point me in the more-or-less right direction here?
