Backup my pc falsely reporting full disk

Rhots

Question

Hi, this has happened to me ALOT. :angry2: I have contacted support to no avail.

I am using backup my pc v6.0 on a win xp pro machine with a Lite-On cd burner.

After doing a few backups, in this case 8, for a total of LESS than 25mg, it says my disc is full !!!!!!!

As I said this has happened before. Every once in a while I'll check the "Tools/Media/Identify" and all is normal. Showing just a few meg used. Then for some unknown reason after more backups it will say there is no more space!!!!!!!! :angry2:

I have tried reinstalling the software as well.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Thanks,

Rick

What are you backing up to, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD+-R, or DVD-RW.

If RW media, not a good idea, they have a tendency to lose what you are trying to save.

Thanks for the reply, I use rw's but what would that have to do with the software falsely reporting the amount of space used on the disk?

Because the RWs could be the cause of the problem. Something else to look at is when you do the backups, do you have backup system state checked. If you do, that could also account for the extra space.
