How to install drag-to-disc product update

I have Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator 6. I am able to successfully download all product updates, except for Drag-to-Disc. I get the error message "The update utility has been canceled. No qualified Roxio product can be detected." I get the error message at the end when I click on Run.

 

1. I have deactivated the firewall and I still get the error message.

2. I do a save of the product update instead of doing a Run immediately. After product update download, I then click Run and I still get the error message.

3. I went to MSCONFIG and disabled all background processes, rebooted my PC, then restarted back my PC and clicked on the saved product update for Drag-to-Disc and clicked Run - I still got the error message.

 

I am now out of options. What should I do to be able to download the drag-to-disc update for Roxio eacy creator 6?

If the D2D is working ok, don't worry about the update.

You should check the version you have against the update you have downloaded. If you have Platinum then don't try to use the Basic updater, and vice versa.

 

The Platinum updater gives you version 6.2.0.110, while the Basic one gives 6.1.1.48.
