Video Card Driver Out of date

Living

Question

Hi Guys,

I just purchased the Roxio Copy and Convert and after the installation and trying to use the program the folowing message appears...Your video card driver may be out of date. Please visit the manufacturer’s website to download an update…

I have 2 drivers the first is the HL-DT-ST RW-DVD GCC-44818 that came with my HP

The second one is Lite-On Combo SOHC-5236V

I tried to go to their sites to look for driver updates and cannot find any. The HL... that came with HP has 2 updates but they are not for the product version so I am at a standstill. Did I just waster my Money on a Roxio Product that will not work on my computer?

Thanks

Right click the desktop, click properties, settings tab click advanced tab, click the adapter tab, your video card should be listed there. Take note of the make and model of the card and visit the ATI or Nvidia driver download site. You choose the driver by your operating system and video card details.

I did as directed and found that it reads intel®82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV/

Graphics Controller video Bios version 3243 6.14.10.3889 I went to the Pentum 4 Intel site for latest update and shows OI already have it installed. Am I missing something? Maybe I am not looking at the right thing for the video card update, as when I went to the 2 sites recommeneded I couldnt find what to look for. Sorry for being so slow to understand....

Just as an aside....it would appear that you are getting into videos and DVD's, but you don't have a DVD burner.
