RecordNow 9 streaming audio

Rascal

Question

I bought this product to record streaming audio. I first had it installed on a machine with XP and a sound card, with no problems. I bought a new HP with Vista and a integrated sound card, now RecordNow9 won't run, it cannot find the sound card. In the process I bought another pc (still have the HP), emachines with Vista also and tried to get RecordNow9 to run on it but the same problem. This one also has an integrated sound card.

Anyone have the same problem????? And anyway around it? I searched Roxio's FAQ's and found nothing.

It's not a Roxio problem. This is caused by Vista and your sound card.Under Vista many cards don't have the inputs available that were available under XP.This is a function of how Vista processes sound.

The thing to do first is make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your card.

After that go to Control Panel,Sound,Recording tab and right click on any one of the things you see.Make sure there is a check by "Show disabled Devices" and "Show Hidden devices".If you now come up with any new devices, such as Wav,Stereo Mix or something similar, try and enable them and then see if you have a device show in Record Now.
