Inserting clips and adding audio

Question

Hello everyone,

I am in need of some help. I am helping my little brother with a school project. In college I used Final cut pro. I know EMC10 is not the same but the interview we shot was in the style that you could shoot two camera and insert the shots back and forth between the two subjects. I bought this program b/c non of the free ones were working. I found out how to cut the out takes out, i just don't know how to insert the others.

Also the sound quailty was bad so I had them rerecord their lines and I want to take out the original audio and put in the new. Can anyone help? Thanks so much!! - Christy

Best way is to work in Storyline view. Just add the ones you want in the correct place. If you have one big project with a lot of video "sections", just drag the sections into the order you want them.

You cannot delete the native audio but you can mute it using the speaker icon just above the storyline. You can add almost any audio file onto the internal audio track. Just select one - although they are named differently, music, sound effects, etc are just audio tracks. For the audio, perhaps this video will help. It is for V9 but V10 works the same way.
