Question

i recently recorded my grandmother's 100th birthday party on a borrowed DVD-camera. i copied the DVD that i made to my hard drive on my computer and it put two folders there - AUDIO-TS & VIDEO-TS

now i would like to make copies for the rest of my family for christmas gifts.

my computer (brand new HP vista home premium) came with EASY MEDIA CREATOR 9, so i would like to try to use this to make my DVDs.

i don't know where to start - i don't even see an option to burn a DVD. can someone please help a new person in distress? thank you.

100 Years! WOW! What an achievement. Just think what she's seen happen in the past 100 years!

What version of EMC9 did it come with? I'm not sure if the 'Basic' version has a Disc Copy feature but that's what you'd want to look for. That would be able to make an exact copy of the disc as many times as you want.

If you don't see a Disc Copy listed than look for something in the list such as Copy Disc or Copy DVD movies.

In the meantime, maybe someone with the Basic version will pop in with info on whether it's part of the program.

oh, she's got stories! it was a wonderful thing to be a part of!

my version does have disc copy listed, but i don't have the original disc anymore. i copied all of the info to my hard drive, though, and it added the video and audio folders that i mentioned.

does this mean that all i have to do is drop those two folders onto a DVD using a data disc setting? will this play in dvd players?

thanks!

Open Disc Copier, and in the dropdown box by Source, pick Browse for Disc Image..... Browse to the Video_TS file, on your hard drive, and bring that in. Put a DVD in your Destination Drive, and burn it.

I don't know if your OEM version of EMC 9 has Disc Copier, but that is the program to use to burn the folders to a DVD as a DVD compliant movie.
