music track screws up when burning

dump truck

Question

In my movie project, I have a couple of music tracks that have been edited... specifically, I chopped out the first part of the songs. When I play back from the computer, all is perfect. When I burn to disc and play back, those songs play back from the beginning, not where I had edited them. Wussup with that???? and how do I fix it?

Thanks in advance for assistance.

How did you "chop" out the first parts of the songs?

I split the music track at the point I wanted the song to start, then deleted the beginning. I have gone back and attempted to lengthen the song by stretching the "in-point" (to see if the beginning of the song is hidden in the track), but it seems to be deleted, as I expect it to be after the split and delete process.
