Compressing an Eye Tv Movie

Nokinoz

Question

I have a copy of Popcorn 3.0.2 and eye tv

I have recorded a show that is 1:57 mins long and want to burn to a dvd

The Movie shows up in the Pop corn Media Browser and when I click on it it opens in the content window in Popcorn 3

If I click on

DVD Disc in the left window "Use fit-to-Dvd video compression" appears in the options window

Image File in the left window "Use fit-to-Dvd video compression" appears in the options window

Video TS- TS Folder in the left window "Use fit-to-Dvd video compression" appears in the options window

But I can not get the Eye Tv listing to copy to these links

It seems to auto import to the last one DVD-VIDEO

and now the compress statement is no longer present

It only gives me Menu Styles

Encoding

and Video Quality

Choosing "Good" makes no difference

I am not Blonde but still can not solve the problen

Help Please

Nok

Your EyeTV recorder likely should fit a DVD without any additional compression to fit a single-layer disc. But if it is telling you that it won't fit then choose Save as Disc Image from the File menu. When that is done then choose the disc image using the Image File setting and you can proceed with the Fit-to-DVD compression as part of burning your DVD.

There is good reason it works this way. The Fit-to-DVD compression requires the source video to be "authored" in a VIDEO_TS folder which is done when you choose Save as Disc Image.

Yes I have already done this

and yes it will fit them

But I purchased Popcorn because I thought it would compress on the fly. I also have toast 7 and 8

So when I read the advertising that is would compress Eyetv I expected the software to do it all

Guess sometime we with for to much

But thanks for confirming my suspicions

In order to do it on the fly you would have to choose Always Re-encode in the Custom encoder window but you'll get better quality and save time if you do it the two-stage way.
