Problems burning disc from MyDvd

theslaz

Question

Have tried on two occasions to burn my project from MyDvd. Both times I wind up with a disk that I can't read in anything. Good coasters thought! I was able to burn a disk using the image that I saved on the Hd. The project does play in my DvD players that are hooked to the T.V.; however; I can't seem to get it to "Auto Play" on any of my computer DvD drives. ( I have 5 that I can try )

Would like to know what I'm doing wrong. Will tell you that I did have my anti virus running at the time I tried to burn. Could this be the problem.

If you have XP: In Windows Explorer, right click the DVD drive, choose Properties. Go to the AutoPlay tab. Then specify the action that will be performed automatically by Windows corresponding to each type of file.

All my computers have autoplay setup. I did change my laptop's startup program and it works. Which is good enough for me. My main computer with XP Professional; won't play the file at all. That is the computer that I burned the file with. My laptop has XP Media center Edtion and it is working.

Sorry I should have been more precise. I do have a player assigned to play my Dvd movies. On my Computer with XP Professional; when I insert the Dvd; it will just flash a couple times and then do nothing. If I open "My Computer" and double click on the Dvd drive; I get an error message that says no program is associated with that file. If I click "Run"; same message. If I explore the DvD; go to a "Info" file or a "Bup" file and double click; the Dvd runs.

I agree with you there is nothing wrong with the Dvd. Something to do with my computer. I tried a bought Dvd movie in it and it did the same thing. Will have to do some rsearch!
