capture video from analog device

Maddy

Question

I am using EMC 10 and I am using the Dazzle DVC 90 to capture videos from my analog camcorder into EMC 10. It works great, except I get no sound. There is no sound on playback and no sound on the computer speakers - only in the camcorder. Does anybody have any suggestions what to do?

thanks, Maddy

First check your cables. Make sure the Red and White (Stereo left/right) are securely connected to the Dazzle and camcorder. Yellow one is video.

You may need to update the Dazzle drivers depending on which OS you are using - XP or Vista.

Has been awhile since I've seen the capture dialog box for the Dazzle, but also check to see which audio device is selected there.

thank's - I thought about the cables might be the problem. I was using the Studio 8 with the Dazzle box 150 before and now I switched to EMC 10 (like the programm better) I am usig the cables from the old Dazzle box 150 on the Dazzle DCV 90, which came with the EMC 9. They fit loose and may not give me a proper connection. The Dazzle DVC90 did not come with cables, so I have buy some. I also will check the driver.

Thanks again.
