DV outputs as white screen in MPEG2

Question

Hi, I'm a novice and I can't see that this topic has been discussed so I'm sure my problem is a schoolboy error!

Have just used Videowave in EMC10 to create my first movie - its 35 minutes long, has some transitions and credits screens, some still images and video imported from a JVC DV Camcorder. Editing it in Videowave has been great with no problems.

However, when I output it for DVD (MPEG2 Best Quality) the finished rendered film has no audio, and the DV elements are just a blank white screen - but I can see the credits and the still images.

Can anybody help?

My system:

Intel Core2 CPU 6600 @2.40GHz

RAM 2047MB

300GB HD (45GB free)

Windows Vista Home Premium

NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT

I greatly appreciate any help or advice!

Cheers

Tez

First of all, depending on what you are doing with the production, there is no need to output it at all. If you are going to burn it to a DVD, either send it directly to MyDVD, or save the VideoWave production, close VideoWave, open MyDVD, and bring in your VideoWave production (preferred method).

Does your production preview okay in VideoWave?

Hi Bruce

Many thanks for your help -- unfortunately though I get the same issue when I try your suggestions -- when MyDVD encodes the movie, the DV elements are blank/white. Would be really grateful to hear any other suggestions.

Yes, I have no problem previewing it in Videowave, and in fact even in MyDVD I can see the video in the thumbnail on the menu screen
