EMC 10 Capture import

Woodrat5

Question

In the capture import mode I select Dazzle 100 as my capture device. I get a message that says Roxio media capture has encountered a problem and needs to close sorry for the inconvenience. I have my Dazzle 100 pluged in to a Magnavox VCR player Using regular audio and video plugs. Have checked the plugs and the VCR to a TV and get a good picture of the tape I am trying to record. Can anyone help. Posed the question to Roxio a week ago and have not had a response yet.

You could try a repair of the main program through Add/Remove programs.

Thanks all.

grandpa bruce your repair answer would only reinstall EMC10, I decided to try other things before doing that. sknis you were right about the spam, found roxio tec's answer there. Also a few other items I had been looking for. would never have checked it out. I followed the tec's direction on updating my dazzle drivers. I also used sknis directions by using a different USB port on my lap top. I also removing my blue wire mouse and printer from the USB ports and ran the dazzle all by it's self. I am happy to say everything is working. Thanks again for all the help. Roxio tec was not a week late in answering it was my fault for not looking in the spam file. Have reset that file to accept any roxio e-mail...

Thanks again all

I assume you loaded the correct drivers for that DVC 100 and for your OS since you are seeing the picture. Try plugging that DVC 100 into an USB port on the back of your computer. The ones in the front or any SUB hub will not power that device properly.

Go into my computer hardware and see if the DVC device is listed without an exclamation point by it.

Perhaps Roxio replied but the response was caught as a piece of spam. Make sure that you allow messages from Roxio (but they do get bothersome at times.)
