Changing durations for a range of slides

VoigtRA

Question

I have a VW slide show that contains a half dozen different segments of slides, each containing 60-150 slides and a different song on the background audio track. I'd like to be able to match up the duration of the slide segments to each song by tailoring the transition durations to match the song length.

How do I select a range of transitions and set the duration for just the range? Or as an alternative, how do I select a range of slides and set the slide duration for just the range? I'm able to manipulate a single slide/transition or set the values for the entire production, but don't seem to be able to manipulate a group of slides/transitions without changing them one at a time.

And if the above isn't possible, there may be a different way to attack the problem. I would consider breaking each slideshow segment into a separate VW production (with it's own music track and tailored durations). However, this would only be a viable workaround if I could pull the separate productions back together into a continuous production when I'm done...

Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Unfortunately you cannot select a group of slides or transitions and apply duration to just those files (a big feature lack in EMC). The best option is to create separate Videowave productions for each range of slides and output then to avi or mpeg2 format. You can then combine all the individual segments in another Videowave project or bring them directly into myDVD for menu creation, etc. Each segment can be combined into a continuous video
