Keytronic
Need help with Easy CD creator 5 starter kit. I upgraded my hard drive this weekend, in transferring over files and such, CD creator 5 starter kit has lost it's ini file. this program has always worked just fine, I have a data CD in an "OPEN" status and need to either finalize it, or retrieve the pics from it, then move onto a different burning program, other than UDF Packet Writing. Most of the files are still contained in the main folder, but it won't initialize. Can someone please send me the program CD creator 5... I originally downloaded this program from Roxio as a Beta freeware program, it came with CD creator, and Direct CD, I also downloaded a long time ago the update patch for multiple drives. gi7omy
I've been using ECD and EMC since version 3 and I've never once heard of any 'freeware' verasion If you were running a beta, then it's well past its expiry date anyway - that suite dates back about 5 years
Keytronic
You don't seem to be of any help. I am looking for another copy of CD creator 5 starter kit. It was a Beta, and free, verified by Roxio Tech support just yesterday, also avail on Sonic too back then. And YES it's about 5 years old.
gi7omy
Sorry but no-one here will be of much help in that. Even if you looked on eBay or Amazon you won't come across any Beta versions of anything All you will be able to do is try to find a copy of perhaps ECD5 Platinum (the release version) and install that instead Oh and as a fyi - Sonic didn't take over until after EMC7 was released, so they couldn't have released an ECD5
Brendon
Well, I'm with Daithi. I've been using this software since Adam was a cowboy, and I've never heard of a freeware version, either. Beta versions were issued to beta testers and are not for public consumption. There have been some trial versions out, but they are very limited in scope and duration. There was a version 6 Basic/Starter Kit which was provided by some OEMs bundled with drives or computers, but that wasn't free and you would need to go back to the OEMs for that. Version 5 hasn't been 'supported' for quite a while now, as the current version of the software is version 10. I'm sorry we can't help you. Regards, Brendon
